1. Agreement to Terms: By completing your registration for the conference, The Governance Implications on Digital Media and Broadcasting Service organised by Regal Law Centre Ltd. SC846345 ("the Organiser," "we," "us," "our"), you ("the Participant," "you," "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Limitation of Liability:
2.1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Organiser's liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
2.2. Subject to clause 2.1, the Organiser shall not be liable to you for any loss of profit, or any indirect, special, or consequential loss, costs, damages, or charges arising out of or in connection with your attendance at the Event.
2.3. The Organiser's total liability to you, whether in contract, delict (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with your registration and attendance shall be limited to the total registration fee paid by you.
3. Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that your participation in the Event is voluntary. You understand and voluntarily accept all risks associated with your attendance, including any risk of personal injury (except where caused by our negligence), illness, or damage to or loss of your property.
4. Cancellation or Postponement by Organiser:
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change the format, date, and venue of the Event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (a force majeure event) or for any commercial reason
• If the Event is cancelled, the Organiser's sole liability will be limited to a refund of the registration fee paid. The Organiser will not be responsible for any other costs or expenses incurred by you, such as travel or accommodation.
• If the Event is postponed, your registration will be automatically transferred to the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you may request a refund of the registration fee.
5. Cancellation by Participant: All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations by Participants. Tickets may be transferred to another person at no cost by notifying the Organiser via email at info@regallawcentre.com at least 48 hours before the Event.
6. Code of Conduct: The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any Participant from the Event for behaviour deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of the law, without any obligation to provide a refund.
7. Data Privacy: By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for the purpose of administering this Event in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We may share your name and company with other attendees for networking purposes. We will not share your email address without your explicit consent. 8. Photography and Recording: The Organiser may take photographs and record video/audio at the Event. By attending, you grant the Organiser the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use your image, likeness, and voice in any media for promotional and commercial purposes without compensation.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms & Conditions and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. The Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
